Our Story
On September 14th 2024, we celebrate ten years together as a couple. Ten years of love, adventures, and dreams. This date marks not just a decade of being side by side but also the day we choose to unite our lives officially in the presence of those dearest to us.
The 14th of September may mark the day we became a couple, but how did they get there? In May 2013 we met at a very typical Brussels bar – Mappa Mundo. Tanja was in Brussels for a study visit with her University and was having the best time when she saw Max as he walks into the bar with his friend.
She immediately feels the need to speak to him, so she grabs her drink and walks up to him saying ‘Hi, can I sit here?’ We ended up spending the entire night together walking around Brussels with the rest of the Swedish crew.
We kept in touch until the summer of 2013, but unfortunately, we lost touch...
On the 3rd of April 2014, Max wrote to Tanja on Facebook Messenger: "Hellllo Tanja !!!!!!!!! I missed you ! How have you been doing so far ? A lawyer yet ? ☺#Max
The rest is history…the timing of Max’s message could not be better. During this time, Tanja was planning her sabbatical year from law school in…BRUSSELS!! As soon as Tanja got to Brussels in July 2014, they started to discover each other’s worlds, and here we are, 10 years later.
The Wedding details
Official Act at the City Hall of Saint-Gilles
The time for the formal exchange of vows still needs to be confirmed by the City Hall of Saint-Gilles, marking the beginning of our forever.
Ceremony at Château de Ruisbroek
Join us in the enchanting surroundings of Château de Ruisbroek, where vows will be exchanged and memories made. The ceremony begins at 4.30pm, with the idyllic backdrop of the location.
Festivities to Follow
As the official acts conclude, the celebration continues back at the Château. Expect an evening filled with joy, dance, and togetherness.
